Terms of Service
The rules for using Ìwádìí. Written in plain English. By using the site you agree to these terms.
Last updated: 23 May 2026 · Version 1.0
1. Who we are
Ìwádìí is operated by Oladayo Adelana, sole trader, based in Sheffield, United Kingdom. Contact: hello@iwadii.co.uk.
2. What Ìwádìí is
Ìwádìí is a UK job platform that:
- Aggregates live job listings from Reed and Adzuna for jobseekers to search
- Allows employers to post their own jobs directly
- Connects jobseekers and employers through in-platform chat
- Sends optional WhatsApp job alerts
We are not a recruitment agency. We do not screen, vet, or guarantee any job, employer, or applicant. We are a platform that connects people.
3. Using the service
To use Ìwádìí you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be eligible to work in the UK (if applying for jobs) or be a legitimate UK employer (if posting jobs)
- Provide accurate information about yourself
- Not use the platform for any unlawful purpose
4. Jobseeker terms
If you sign up as a jobseeker:
- The service is free for you to use
- You agree your application information may be shared with employers you apply to
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your CV and cover letters
- We do not guarantee you will get a job or even a response
- You can delete your account and all data at any time from your dashboard
5. Employer terms
If you sign up as an employer:
- Your first job posting is free. Subsequent posts cost £25 each, paid via Stripe.
- Each post is live for 30 days
- You may post genuine UK-based job vacancies only
- You must not post: discriminatory adverts, MLM/pyramid schemes, illegal work, jobs requiring upfront payments from applicants, or fraudulent listings
- You are responsible for complying with UK employment law, including equality, right-to-work checks, and any sector-specific rules (e.g. DBS for care roles)
- We reserve the right to remove any post that breaches these terms without refund
Payments and refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe. By paying, you authorise the charge.
- If a job post fails to publish due to a technical issue on our side, we will refund or republish (your choice)
- Posts removed for breaching these terms (e.g. discrimination, fraud) are non-refundable
- "Change of mind" refund requests within 14 days of posting may be considered, subject to the post not having received applications
6. WhatsApp alerts
If you subscribe to WhatsApp job alerts:
- You consent to receive messages about UK job vacancies via WhatsApp
- You can unsubscribe at any time by replying STOP or contacting us
- Your phone number is used only to send alerts. We will never share it.
7. External listings (Reed, Adzuna)
Jobs from Reed and Adzuna are shown via their official APIs. We do not control these listings — content, accuracy, and availability are managed by the original posters. When you click Apply on those listings, you leave our site and their terms apply.
8. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Misuse the platform for spam, scams, harassment, or impersonation
- Attempt to scrape, hack, reverse engineer, or attack our systems
- Use automated tools to mass-apply or mass-message
- Post or send content that is illegal, defamatory, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or violates intellectual property rights
- Charge applicants any fee in connection with employment opportunities posted
We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that breach these terms, without refund.
9. Content you provide
You retain ownership of content you post (CVs, cover letters, job descriptions, messages). By posting it, you grant us a limited licence to display and process it for the purposes of running the service.
10. Service availability
We aim to keep Ìwádìí available 24/7 but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, third-party outages (Supabase, Netlify, Reed, Adzuna), and bugs may cause downtime. We are not liable for losses caused by service interruptions.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law:
- We provide the service "as is", without warranties of any kind
- We are not liable for the conduct, accuracy, or legality of any user (jobseeker or employer)
- We are not liable for jobs that turn out to be unsuitable, employers who don't reply, or applicants who don't show up
- Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us in the previous 12 months (which for jobseekers is £0)
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
12. Ending your use
You can stop using Ìwádìí at any time by deleting your account from your dashboard.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, with notice where possible. Paid posts that have already been published remain live until their 30-day expiry (subject to acceptable use clause above).
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. If we materially change them, we'll email users with active accounts at least 30 days before the change takes effect. The current version date is shown at the top of this page.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
