Mental Health Support Worker – Colchester

Contract: Permanent, full-time — 37.5 hours per week

A Star Care Agency is recruiting a Flexible Support Worker on behalf of a client supporting adults with ongoing mental health needs in Colchester and across North East Essex.

You will help people develop independence, achieve their recovery goals and manage everyday life. Responsibilities include supporting housing and tenancy matters, following support plans, monitoring risks, keeping accurate records and working with other professionals.

We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience supporting adults with mental health needs or in a similar setting.
• Understands complex needs, including mental health and substance misuse.
• Communicates well and maintains professional boundaries.
• Can work 37.5 hours each week, including early shifts (8am–4pm), late shifts (1:30pm–9:30pm) and alternate weekends.
• Can work flexibly across services in North East Essex.

Benefits: 22 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 25 days after three years, pension eligibility after three months, training and wellbeing support.
